Interim Chief Executive Officer

Working through the VLinc Board of Directors and the Corporate Advancement Team, Marc helps shape VLinc’s strategic direction, drive program execution, and foster long-term growth. His leadership ensures high-quality service and operational excellence across aviation, logistics, and systems engineering.

With over 30 years of experience in aviation, systems engineering, logistics, and program management, Marc has led complex operations in military, private sector, and academic settings. A former U.S. Coast Guard helicopter pilot, he accumulated over 3,400 flight hours operating rotary-wing aircraft from Alaska to Puerto Rico. He served as an instructor pilot, aeronautical engineer, and maintenance test pilot, playing a key role in aviation modernization, fleet sustainment, and aircraft maintenance solutions using the latest technologies.

After retiring as a Coast Guard Commander, Marc spent ten years running his own consulting firm and manufacturing company, supporting the local community as well as defense and aerospace clients. His expertise in operations management and logistics engineering has driven advancements in aircraft maintenance, fleet optimization, and integrated logistics support for manned and unmanned systems, leveraging data-driven decision-making to enhance operational efficiency and sustainment.

Marc also has an extensive academic background, serving as an Assistant Professor and Deputy Director of the Department of Systems Engineering at the Naval Postgraduate School and later teaching at Arizona State University. His courses covered systems engineering, logistics engineering, supply chain management, and defense acquisition. His research initiatives at both institutions focused on advancing technology to improve operational efficiency and modernize STEM education.

He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Defense Acquisition and Logistics from the Naval Postgraduate School, a Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering Technology from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from the University of Washington.

Reading Recommendations: Marc finds inspiration in books like The Goal by Eliyahu M. Goldratt and Multiple Streams of Income by Robert Allen. For a good escape, he enjoys technical authors such as Benjamin Blanchard, James Jones, and Dr. Doug Montgomery, as well as fiction from Tom Clancy, Robert Timberg, and Dan Brown.
